Circular Economy

Used Lubricating Oil (ULO) is collected and re-refined to make re-refined base oils.  Finished lubricants combine re-refined base oils and additives to make fit-for-purpose lubricants.    True circularity is achieved in a low carbon and sustainable process. 

Process flows include

• First, upgrading used lubricating oil (ULO) into Marine Gas Oil (MGO) 
• Second, upgrading some of the MGO into premium quality base oils.   

MGO creation utilizes vacuum distillation and proprietary steps at relatively low temperatures.

Base oil creation does not use either hydrogen or highly elevated temperatures and pressures which would then promote cracking.  

Minimizing cracking preserves structural integrity of the underlying hydrocarbon molecules.  

The low severity hydrogen free process creates high quality, low carbon products.

• 85% versus crude oil refiners
